Destiny 2 Hdr 4K Support Confirmed For Xbox One X Come December 5

If you’re a Destiny 2 fan and are planning to buy an Xbox One X, we’ve got an excellent piece of news for you: developer Bungie confirmed both HDR and 4K support for the console — the answer to one of the hottest questions of the week. The company will deploy the update on December 5 alongside new Destiny 2 DLC.

The upcoming update will bring with it a whole new gaming experience to take advantage of the full potential of the Xbox One X, perfect because Destiny 2 already looks a lot better and loads much faster with the new console.

What about the Xbox One S?

We’ve seen a lot of questions about whether or not Destiny 2 would scale to meet the potential of new hardware. On this festive occasion, the answer is “Yes!” On December 5, along with the launch of Curse of Osiris and Season Two, we’ll be deploying an update to Destiny 2 that will deliver stunning gameplay with high dynamic range (HDR) lighting to these new consoles. You’ll also see adaptive 4K resolution on the PlayStation 4 Pro and 4K on the Xbox One X. If you’re migrating to these new consoles, or already have, we’ll make it worth your investment.

Many Xbox One S owners are also wondering whether Bungie will update the title HDR support to their consoles, but there isn’t a clear answer to that question yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
