The latest Windows 10 builds added some handy notification management options for individual apps.

As we previously reported, this build brings a number of exciting features for Windows 10 users including a download throttling option, the long-awaited Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 and some improvements for Narrator and Windows ink Workspace.

However, a recent Reddit post highlighted the fact that Microsoft did some important changes to the notification settings as well.

Windows 10 users can now use the Action Center to mute and manage their app notifications. It is worth mentioning that changes are made for individual app notifications.

The OP explained that you can use the banner to turn off the notifications.

I find this new option quite useful, there is no need to open the Action center to access the notification settings or to turn off the notifications, you can do it from the banner itself

Users say the feature is helpful

It looks like Windows 10 users are really happy above this recent development. Reddit users appreciated Microsoft’s efforts and said the new feature is really helpful.

Another user wishes that Microsoft removed the arrow and brought back X.

About time! I’m glad we are getting a toggle of some sort—I want notifications for some things but not others without having to turn them all off.

However, this feature is a part of the Insider Preview build 18917 that is currently available to Fast Ring Insiders.

I think the gear setting icon is pointless as well as the context menu. I still wish they’d bring back the X, instead of, the arrow. Also, maybe an option to turn off all of the pop-ups that way you can just see the notification center icon, click on it, and dismiss all of them from there.

Therefore, you need to wait until a stable version is pushed to all users. Don’t forget you still have the option enroll in the Windows Insider Program to try out this feature.
