Just like we were telling you a few days ago, the official Microsoft Band app syncs data with Windows tablets and Mac devices, but it does so with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 desktop clients. Here are the official links and more details.

By using The Microsoft Band Sync app for Windows, users can seamlessly syncs their Microsoft Band to the cloud with the same account that they use from the phone companion app.

Sync your Microsoft Band on desktop Windows devices

The app will work on Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8 Pro and above, by which, of course, we mean Windows 8.1 and the upcoming Windows 10.

Microsoft also informs us that it syncs faster than with your phone while your device is charging over USB. By downloading the desktop client, you will be able to get updates and restore the software on your Band, as well.

It’s interesting to observe, as you can see in the above screenshot, that the Microsoft Band seems to be part of the Xbox team, as we see the Xbox logo there.
