As of late, Microsoft brought a lot of updates, not only for Windows 7, 8.1 and Windows 10, but also for the related programs. Microsoft Office 2016 recently got a new update that fixes one annoying file sync issue.

More specifically, update KB3085534 corrected an issue with Office 2016 that caused a failure in the synchronization process in OneNote 2016.

Microsoft described the update as follows:

So, Microsoft Office users don’t need to worry anymore about getting error 0x803D0000 on OneNote.

This update fixes the following issue: Synchronizing a notebook from OneNote 2016 fails and you receive the following error message: We’re sorry, something went wrong during sync. We’ll try again later. (Error code: 0x803D0000).

The big M also listed the Office versions that are going to get this update: Office Standard, Office Professional Plus, Office Professional, Office Home and Student, Office Home and Business.

The OneNote 2016 sync problem can be fixed by installing two other updates: KB44461441 and KB4464552.
