This is a cumulative update and as such, Microsoft didn’t reveal additional details about it. As a reminder, installing a cumulative update will add all previously released updates not downloaded until that point.
If your Surface Book receives automatical updates, you probably already have the update installed on your machine. However, you can always check if the update is installed yourself by going to Settings > Update & security > Check for updates.
Microsoft also mentioned that the update isn’t available to everyone at the same time, but confirmed that it will eventually be pushed out to all compatible Surface Book devices. If you haven’t received the update yet, check again later.
This is the second update for Microsoft’s Surface Book in just a week. The previous update was mainly focused on improving camera drivers in both the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4.
To find out more about all the updates for the Surface Book, check out the Surface Book History Page. Microsoft recently launched the page to keep track of all Surface Book updates in one place. Outside of the Surface Book History Page, you can go consult all recently released updates for other Windows 10 devices on both Windows 10 Update History Page, and Windows 10 Mobile Update History Page.
