Uber recently launched in Uganda giving free rides for the weekend to customers that sign up. One of the opportunities Uber presents wherever they launch is being able to become a full or part time Uber driver. 75% of Uber drivers do so to supplement their incomes and control their work schedules.

In a country with a great unemployment rate,  this might be a great opportunity for many especially because in it’s current state Uber’s model presents great benefits for drivers. They help you find passengers for 20% cut on the fee which seems fair in comparison to parking your car at the stage waiting for clients who may or may not come.
