Microsoft just released a new firmware update for its newer Lumia devices, including the Lumia 950 and 950XL. The new firmware update doesn’t include any notable features, as it focuses on fixing system bugs, and enhancing overall performance of the device.
Microsoft announced the firmware update by posting on its Community forums. The update will also change the firmware version to 01078.00038.16025.390xx.
“The availability of this update may depend on your phone model, region or network service provider. At the time of writing this post, the update is available mainly for selected open market variants, but the rollouts should continue gradually during the coming days and weeks,” says Microsoft.
The firmware update should be available to all eligible users, but it might arrive later on some devices, because of the ‘carrier-restrictions,’ but even those users who didn’t receive the update yet, should get it in the next couple of days.
