The taskbar shows a battery icon in the notification area/system tray when Windows 10 is installed on a computer containing a battery.
The battery icon shows how much charge remains in the battery and also shows if the battery is being charged or discharged. A quick right-click on the battery icon shows options to open the Power option and Windows Mobility Center.
Now, the battery icon on the taskbar might go missing for several reasons. If the battery icon is not appearing on the Windows 10 taskbar, you can use the following solutions to restore the battery icon.

Restart the taskbar to restore the battery icon in Windows 10
Step 1: Open the Task Manager by right-clicking on an empty spot on the taskbar and then clicking Task Manager.
Step 2: Click More details.
Step 3: Under the Processes tab, right-click on the Windows Explorer entry and then click the Restart option to restart the Windows Explorer process, which in turn automatically restarts the taskbar. If the Windows Explorer entry is missing from the Task Manager, open any folder or This PC and then try again.

Move the battery icon from the hidden box to the taskbar in Windows 10
Step 1: Click on the small up arrow icon in the system tray (refer to the picture below) to see all hidden icons.
Step 2: If the battery icon is present here, drag and drop it to the system tray area to restore the battery icon to its original location.

Configure the battery icon to show on the taskbar area
Windows 10 offers an option to show or hide the battery icon on the taskbar. Here is how to configure it to always appear on the taskbar.
Step 1: Go to Windows 10 Settings > Personalization > Taskbar page.
Step 2: In the Notification area section, click Select which icons to appear on the taskbar link.
Step 3: On the resulting page, turn on the Power option to add the battery icon to the Windows 10 taskbar.

Enable the battery icon in Windows 10
Step 1: Go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar page.
Step 2: In the Notification area section, click on the Turn system icons on or off link.
Step 3: Click the toggle button next to Power to turn on the battery icon. If the Power option is already turned on, proceed to the next solution.

Disable and then enable the Microsoft AC Adapter
Step 1: Right-click the Start button and then click Device Manager to open the same.
Step 2: Expand the Batteries tree to see the Microsoft AC Adapter entry along with other entries.
Step 3: Right-click on the Microsoft AC Adapter entry and then click the Disable device option.
Click the Yes button when you get the confirmation dialog.
Step 4: Next, right-click on the Microsoft ACPI Complaint Control Method Battery entry and then click Disable Device option. Click Yes when you get the prompt.
If you have two Microsoft ACPI Complaint Control Method Battery entries, please repeat this step for both entries.
Step 5: Now that you have disabled above mentioned entries, it’s time to enable them again. Right-click on all the entries and then click Enable device option. That’s it!
