Forza Horizon 3 issues are adding up, although it’s been only a few days since the game was officially launched. There are various issues plaguing both Windows 10 PC and Xbox One gamers, and very few workarounds available.
One of the first issues reported are the constant game crashes that occur when players hit the pause button. Up until recently, no fix was available for this issue, and many gamers had given up hope.
However, one gamer recently posted the troubleshooting steps to fix Forza Horizon 3 crashes when the game is paused and it seem his solution really works. Many gamers have already confirmed they no longer experience crashes when pausing the game, therefore we’ll also list this workaround in this article. The following method can be used if you’re experiencing crashes on your Xbox One.
How to fix Forza Horizon 3 crashes when the game is paused
- Delete your profile to refresh it. This won’t affect your game saves because you can redownload your current profile later, instead of adding a new one. Go to Settings > Sign in > Security & Passkey > select the option Remove me from Xbox.
2. Refresh your router network settings. Go to Home > Settings > Network > Advanced settings > Alternate MC address > Clear > Restart.
3. Delete all the corrupted files on your console. Go to Home > Settings > Disc and blue ray > Persistent storage > Clear persistent storage. Repeat this process three times.
4. Fully refresh your console system settings. Turn off the console by pressing the Xbox button for 10 seconds. Then unplug everything from the console and wait for 2 minutes before plugging everything back. Turn on the console.
5. Add back your account on your console. Go to the Avatar Icon > select the Add New option to download your profile.
