Restart your computer.
Now click here to install the software.

Select Printers
Right click on your printer in the list and select Reset printing system, then click OK to confirm
Give admin permissions where necessary and click OK to begin the system reset process

Solution 4: Troubleshoot the USB cable and connection
If the USB isn’t working, ensure you have connected it to your computer correctly, plugged into a power outlet if it has a power cord, and installed the relevant and needed software.
Check power cables and check the USB hub is connected to one. Ensure both the hub and device are the same speed, for example, USB 3.0 to USB 3.0 hub, and so on.
If the device has no power cord and is plugged into a USB device that doesn’t have a power cord, plug the device into your computer’s USB port directly or to a USB device that has a power cord.
Disconnect all USB devices connected except the one you’re testing, and then try reconnecting them one by one to find out which one is causing the problem then troubleshoot for that specific issue.
Solution 5: Set the USB connection as default printer
Check the port on each printer icon to see if it set properly to USB.
Click Start
Select Control Panel
Click Hardware and Sound
Select Devices and Printers
Right click the printer and select Properties
Select Ports The port with the USB should be set as default printer
Right click the icon and select set as default printer
Try and print a text document, not Windows test page, and see if it helps.
